About the owl Simon has decorated his owl, 'H'owl - before it's too late', to reflect the sad fate of the Little Owl in the UK, whose numbers have dropped over 60% in recent years. The main threat to this charismatic little species - Britain's smallest owl - is mainly due to modern farming methods which include cutting down old trees and hedgerows - the Little Owl and their prey's favourite nesting sites.
