About the owl The inspiration for Beaky came from feathers and nature. Five different colours of tissue madee the feather shapes and a black sharpie was used for the claws and head details. For the sparkling accents they used a white iridescent glitter glue.
About the sponsors The Bath BID Company donated their owlet to the talented creative team at Bath College. BID Manager Allison Herbert said "We are keen for the students at Bath College to be involved in the city wherever possible and were were delighted to offer these young and talented designers the chance to showcase their work. Bath is famous for its creative success so we are very pleased to be supporting the next generation of artists with this creative opportunity".
About the artist Beaky was created by Bath College Product Design student Oriana Viall and Photography student Sammie Palmer. Inspired by nature and feathers and the blue colours of Bath College, Oriana and Sammie said "We really enjoyed being decorating Beaky as it allowed us to be creative and do something we have never done before - an opportunity not to be missed!"
