Lumin15
Sponsors: Biodiversity by Design Waterhouse Transition 15 • Artist: James Aveling

About the owl Luminis is a stunning owl, lit from within with multiple holes in its head and feet covered with fused coloured glass and copper to illuminate the coloured glass and create beautiful light patterns around it, in a giant owl version of a Tiffanys/Morroccan lamp. Other parts of the owl are painted blue to celebrate the running waters of the nearby Midford Brook, the lifeblood of the Midford Valley. Lumin15 is housed in a giant 'nestbox' in the grounds of the hotel, which visitors can enter to meet Lumin15, hear the sound of owls as you enter and you can also take part in their nature trail around the beautiful grounds in the Midford Valley.
