The Royal High Junior School has sponsored an owlet for their pupils to decorate for this summer’s public art sculpture trail.

Owlet arrived for his first day at the school, which is  surrounded by 11 acres of beautiful gardens.  Cuckoos could be heard in the grounds, but there was only one owl on the register.  Owlet was greeted by the Head of the Junior School, Heidi Hughes, and a group of artistic girls who have been chosen to decorate him.

Miss Hughes said: “For the Royal High Junior School, who put creativity at the heart of their rich, vibrant and inspired curriculum, designing an owlet was a challenge not to miss.  Alongside Zenith Global Ltd, we hope that our owlet will generate interest and funds for these important local charities.”

The Royal High School provides an outstanding, contemporary education for girls aged 3-18.  Younger girls learn through exploration, discovery and challenge, whilst older children embrace social responsibility and global citizenship.  As part of the Girls’ Day Trust, we put girls first to create forward-thinking and fearless individuals.
